Vandaag is het een dag om bij te komen en na te genieten van alle indrukken van gisteren op de Quilttentoonstelling in het Fries Museum in Leeuwarden. We vertrokken gisteren om kwart over 9 met een groepje dames naar Friesland. Na een vlotte reis was het in de stad zelf zoeken geblazen naar het museum en ook naar een parkeerplaats. Uiteindelijk de auto's ergens neergezet. Jassen, tassen aan en om en op weg. Onderwijl druk kletsend natuurlijk. Helaas zorgde dat bij het museum voor problemen. Eén van de chauffeuses kon haar autosleutels niet vinden, met twee personen terug naar de auto's, waar gelukkig de sleutels op één van de stoelen lagen. Met de deuren open. Gelukkig was het niet druk op straat. Na een kopje koffie/thee konden we beginnen aan de tentoonstelling.

Today it is a day to relax and still enjoy the experiences again I had yesterday at the quilt exhibition in the Frisian Museum in Leeuwarden. I went there yesterday with a group of ladies from our quilting group. We had a nice journey, but had problems in the end finding the museum and places to park the car. After several rounds in the city we parked the car and walked. When we reached the museum and were inside there was a bit of panic. One of the drivers couldn't find her carkeys. Two of the ladies went back to the cars and found the keys at the driversseat with the car doors open. Chatting Ladies?????Fortunately the streets weren't busy, so nobody had noticed and taken the car. After a cup of coffee/tea we could start to watch the exhibition.

De tentoonstelling was prachtig opgezet met aandacht voor heden en verleden. Hier enkele prachtige antieke quilts.

The exhibition was a great mix of past and present. Here you see some great antique quilts.

Een quilt van Kaffe Fasset. De quilts die hier hangen vond ik heel mooi, de kleurige stofjes vind ik ook prachtig, maar ik heb nog nooit zo'n lapje gekocht omdat ik niet weet wat ermee te doen.

Deze quilt vond ik gewoon prachtig vrolijk met al die vrolijke kleurtjes.

I simply loved this one with it's bright colours.

Al met al was het weer een dag met een gouden randje. Fijn om van na te genieten en later deze week weer heerlijk verder met mijn eigen projecten.

Al in al it was a day with a golden edge. It's great looking back upon and later in the week I love to go back to my own projects.
