Sinds enkele dagen hangt hij te pronken hier in de kamer. De Eendjes quilt. Het pakket kocht ik via internet van mijn verjaardagsgeld in 2002. Ik begon toen wel, maar schrok toch terug door de summiere beschrijving die er voor een beginner bij zat. Nu weet ik dat je zo'n project op verschillende manieren kunt aanpakken net wat je voorkeur heeft. Toen dacht ik dat er maar 1 goede manier was waarop het moest. Dit was een deel van de reden dat de boel lang stil heeft gelegen. De tweede reden is natuurlijk dat ik gewoon teveel andere projecten ook gestart ben. Nou, ja die helpen me allemaal om wat meer vertrouwen te krijgen in een goede afloop.

For several days I have a new quilt hanging in the livingroom. The Duck quilt. I bought the kit back in 2002 through the internet with some money I got at my birthday. I started to cut, but got a bit scared by the rather poor descriptions with the pattern. Now I know there are several ways of piecing such a project. All of them o.k. you just pick the way you like to do the most. Back then I thought there was just one propper way. All this was partly why the project took so long to finish. The other reason? Well I just started way to many projectsLOL On my behalf I can say every project helps me to develop my skills.

Helemaal af. Tot en met bies en label aan toe. Vooral dat laatste is iets wat er nog wel eens bij blijft.

Totally finished. It has a binding and label too. I tend to skip the last part of a project. But on this one it is finished by the book.
